Does anybody have book or podcast recommendations for dealing with toddler behavior? My 3 year old has been very explosive lately about little things- not enough blueberries on her plate, not enough magnatiles to finish building her house, not the right paper for coloring on- this was all this morning. I know that this is typical of 3 but it seems to be getting worse not better and it seems she can last longer being upset or angry. In the past she might get upset but she could quickly move through her feelings and let it go, now not so much. If she’s upset about the blueberries for example, I might say something like, ‘wow, it sounds like your upset. Let’s take a deep breath and figure this out. We’re all out of blueberries but we could have some apple slices or raspberries?’ This used to work, now she just can’t seem to move on and digs here heals in. She will go on for 10-20 minutes crying, yelling and has recently learned to scream at the top of her lungs. I typically repeat the initial comment a few times and the will eventually say- ‘there’s nothing I can do right now, we’re all out of blueberries and I’m not going to talk about this anymore, let me know if you need a hug but we’re done talking about this’. I’m about to be home all summer with my kids and I’m worried for my sanity!

On a related note- baby sibling just turned one and learned to walk so that has been a big shift for the familyto navigate.
