Engine Air Filtet

Long Story, Short: I bought this 2023 Outer Banks used with ~32k miles. Dealer (non-Ford) and Carfax stated that they changed the oil, engine air filter, and cabin filter upon trade in. Since I purchased it last August, the cabin started to take on a slight musk odor (even though I am religious about cleaning and detailing this car). So I got a cabin filter and changed it. I was shocked at how filthy it was. It looked like it hadn’t been changed since the factory. So that made me nervous about the engine air filter.

So I purchased an engine air filter (MBZ-9601-A) and changed it this morning. The engine filter didn’t look as bad, but it looks like a non-OEM filter. It looks like it is too tall and smashed in there. And the filter membrane has curves in it. I replaced it with OEM, which fit like a glove. Anyone seen this? Should I be concerned at all?

I am the proud owner of a Ford Bronco, a car that I love and am having a lot of fun in. In the past, I have not taken care of my cars very well and it has led to me having to get rid of some cars I really wanted to keep (the main one being a 2003 Honda Element, I miss that car more than I care to say). Anyways, last November I put the Adams Ceramic Spray Coating on before a nice Midwest winter. I am new to the detailing world, so I’m trying to gauge when I need to redo the coating process. I have read this coating lasts as short as 6 months out to a year (which is a fine timeline for me). I’ve read that one of the main indicators it’s time to redo the coating is that the water beading is starting to get poor. Given my lack of experience, I don’t quite know what that looks like. I took a few pictures of my hood in a rainstorm to see what this community thinks about the beading and if I might need to consider redoing the ceramic coating process. Thanks in advance!
