If you could turn a non rap person into a rap fan, what album would you recommend?
Personally, I'd go with Be by Common.
Not only is it an incredible album, but it is arguably the greatest Rap/Hip-Hop album of all time.
Tracks including Be (Intro), The Corner, Go!, Faithful & Testify are perfect tracks on the album, and IT'S ALL IN ONE 5-TRACK RUN.
The progressive production on Be (Intro) is absolutely incredible, which is fully produced by Kanye West.
The Corner's production literally sounds like it was made in the dark and shallow corners of Chicago, Illinois.
The meaning on Faithful as well as John Legend's performance is so astronomically gorgeous.
The insane sample flip on Testify as well as the twist about the tracks, meaning on Common's last verse is so unexpected and insane.
Sorry if this post turned into praising Be by Common rather than a simple post, I can literally talk about this album for hours.
