Baby girl is 5.5mo, currently on a 3 nap schedule - 2/2.15/2.15/2.30. All contact naps. Goes down for the night, usually between 6:45-7pm. She is intensely attached to movement for sleep - walking around the room, and will wake up if we sit down. This goes on for 10-30mins. Frequent wake ups - I’m talking anywhere between 15mins to an hour through the night. She looks for the nipple to soothe and goes back to sleep almost instantly. Not big into feeding through night - probably has 1-2 feeds overnight the rest is all a quick soothe.

I go to work in a month & just don’t find this sustainable anymore. I’m the kind of mum who’ll break their backs over inconveniencing my child, so the decision to train has not come easy but now I’ve made up my mind.

I will add that she has mild reflux that has gotten a lot better but has to be held up for a bit to cough / burp after her feed to sleep. All the holding is a result of her reflux. Our older one (almost 4) - by this stage was slept independently.

I suppose I’m looking for encouragement and any micro tips that made the process less jarring for you. Or if any tweaks to her schedule before we attempt spaced soothing / Ferber.

She will have her cot in our room due to space issues.
