Platform for Global Talent Visa applications

Recently someone approached me to ask about applying for a Global Talent Visa after they have graduated from a Master's in AI and Robotics and supposedly are helping mentor a friend. Many people still don't understand that the documentation required for this visa is technical and based on evidence-based guidance.

I also see other people stating that the guidance is clear enough and getting a consultant to review one's profile is not worth the typically huge costs that they charge. As a GTV holder (having worked in tech for most of my legal career), lawyer and part-time GTV consultant myself, I completely understand the high costs that consultants charge for these to be honest, mainly because these applications take so much time to structure and make sure the narrative is best positioned to increase one's chances of success. It simply takes time and wisdom to advise on a GTV application, especially if it's for a Tech Nation endorsement. Others perhaps are more straightforward, like if it's an endorsement by the Royal Society.

With the really high costs of getting a consultant (which again I think is worth spending on if you have the budget), I genuinely believe this is an area that's prime for innovation. With the goal of helping people build their profile to be able to apply for the visa a few months down the road, I've built globaltalentvisa.co, a mainly free platform for hopefuls to assess their chances, based on their current CV, on getting the GTV. My main idea is that there's a large section of applicants who may not be qualified right now, but with concrete steps can work their way towards it. It's not a cheat code, though, because they do have to work their way to get published, find the most suitable conferences and mentorships, etc. It's just a more structured and intentional way of fitting the profile of a GTV holder.

It's in UAT stage, and I'm taking all the comments I can get from those who have so far tried it out. I've been working on it for the past couple of months and hopefully it helps someone out there! Hopefully this doesn't count as promotion since it's free to use, and hopefully useful and relevant here.
