Help me diagnose Proton Pass (MacOS)

I'm getting tired of this browser extension working less than 25% of the time. I may be using a computer or browser or website that's not compatible.

Proton Pass v1.36.1. MacOS 15.7.4. I mostly use Orion browser v1.0.6. I have confirmed the same issues with Firefox v150.0.3.

Getting Proton Pass to fill in the username and password fields on most websites has gotten extremely worse over the past couple months. It just doesn't recognize the fields at first. If I copy the username (if that works), then sometimes it will recognize the password field and fill that in.

Copying values from Proton Pass has stopped working in the past few weeks. I can click on the value and Proton Pass will say "copied" but this is a lie. I need to go into edit mode in order for my computer to copy the values I'm selecting.

The other issue I have on most websites is that I'm not able to put my cursor in the username or password field. If I click on the field, the browser seems to reject the action. Sometimes I can use TAB to get my cursor to appear in the field but more often that also fails.

The work around for most (not all) websites is to view the plaintext password in Proton Pass, select it, copy it, paste the password, then Proton Pass will recognize the fields and make the suggestion to enter the username and password.

This is on top of the preexisting issue of Proton Pass not recognizing about 30% of the websites I have saved. And sometimes it just isn't 'on'. I have to click on it, then retry, then retry again before it loads.

I have used multiple password managers over the years. For work, I use Bitwarden. Proton Pass is easily the worst (and that's including LastPass). So, I just don't know what's going on with either the software or my computer that's causing this to be so horrible. And frankly, after a couple years of paying for this suite, I'm getting tired of everything feeling like it's in beta still.

Second floor of a century rowhome with the bathroom at the back of the house adjacent to what I'm using as an office. Toilet is six four feet in front of the door, sink to its right, shower along the right wall. What you see along the left wall is the only window. I sit at this desk eight hours a day.

I'm wondering if there are any general interior design "rules" about how this is supposed to swing and if there's anything I'm not considering.

The current configuration is A - hinges on the right, door swinging out. It feels awkward.

Compared to A, option B provides a smoother transition in the bathroom, let's more light into the office, and makes the room feel a little bigger.

Compared to B, option C blocks some of the window when the door is open but it allows me to hang something on the wall that I can look at. C also requires more effort.

Again, looking for some help to see what I can not. Are there any "code" reasons why a door should go one way or another? Can you imagine if opening / closing the door feels better one way or another?
