This is not only a size upgrade from a 3x1.5x1.5 to a 4x2x2 but a Bioactive upgrade where I've got real plants, a clean up Crew and hopefully a very happy gecko.

In her old enclosure all she wanted to do was climb so I made sure I DIY-ed a background that would give her more than enough climbing space that she doesn't just want to be out of her enclosure all the time to explore.

I made all 3 sides of the background myself, it was my first time making an enclosure background (so pls be nice😭), it took so much more time and labour than I expected but 1000% worth it for my scaley child.

I've also added a very bad quality photo of the first time I spotted her chilling on the top background rock, it was at nighttime so that's why it's so grainy.

I understand that maintaining a Arid or semi-arid Bioactive enclosure is a lot more difficult than a tropical environment, like for a crestie for example. So if anyone has an established similar setup please let me know your secrets🥹 I've put so much effort into this viv so I want it to last and be the best place for her to be!

Also I've ordered her a new water bowl as well because the vibrant orange doesn't really blend in very well I know 😅

TLDR: I built a massive Bioactive upgrade and first time DIY background for my leo. Any tips/tricks maintaining an arid Bioactive setup I'm all ears!
