I wasn't sure how else to phrase the title. I'm in the process of getting my author site ready to go live. I want to have a page that's a sort of "Meet The Characters" for each book that updates periodically as I were to release new books. Along side info about the characters I want to be able to include images of characters and actors that inspired them. I wouldn't be using fan art unless it were something I commissioned or got permission to use, it'd be screen captures from the media itself.
So the actual question is: Can I actually do that? It's not marketing as far as I'm aware, I'm not trying to pass the media off as my own. I'm just showing what and who inspired me in a sort of gallery that will include the appropriate disclaimers and credits. I'm even thinking about linking to where the media can be purchased or viewed if it's something that's available for free if that's something I can do without facing issues of any sort.
EDIT: An example of this is one of my characters in my current WIP is heavily based on Chameleon from Kung Fu Panda 4 and Rokume from Beastars. So for this character's section I would have an image of the actual character, info about her, but then include an image or two of the above mentioned and other characters that inspired me while creating her.
