This past summer (Summer of 2025) I worked at Ruger in NC as an engineering intern. Very good experience and super fun, as part of the internship I was able to use the employee discount and picked up this 6.5 creedmoor Precision (wouldn’t have ever been able to buy without the discount). I haven’t been able to shoot or add anything to it as I went back to school for my senior year immediately(can’t have my guns with me) but now with graduation in just a few weeks I’m looking to get an optic for it. I’m a pretty broke college student but I will graduate debt free and I have a job lined up but my budget is max ~$650 just to get started using the gun. I was looking at the Vortex Venom 5-25 but wanted to see what everyone else may be running in 2026 to get a better idea.
