Advice from the peanut gallery?
So I’m going to buy one of these, I just don’t know which. I’ve considered almost everything else for close to a year, and it’s time to make a decision…
I know the Defender is being refreshed, but I live in Mexico and it won’t be here for some time still.
It’s come down to a 25 110 (2.3m pesos) or a new GX (1.9m pesos). I love them both, and am completely stumped. I don’t want to feel like I made the wrong choice… the GX doesn’t seem to have the same prestige when I see them on the road, though maybe that will change and it will grow on me. Obviously Lexus reliability is a thing, but I’ve heard this LR is more reliable than they’ve ever been - and there’s some chatter about an engine defect with the 6cyl GX 🤔
Both are available now on the lot in the color/trim I’m looking for, but I can’t make a decision. The Defender is about 25k more, but is it worth that? Price is not such an issue since I plan to own for <5 years, and resale on both seems strong.
Anyone have experience with these? Or better yet, someone who has owned both? 🙏🙏🙏
