Curious to hear about the early history of Diablo 2 hardcore. I’m assuming someone had put together a lengthy video essay on the early days, right?

I don’t know much about it but I’ve always been fascinated by L99 races, Baal runs etc.

One of my friends LOVES breaking out spreadsheets and min/maxing games. It’s not unusual for him to also code up (Claude up?) solutions to things like optimal play in Slay the Spire or decks to build in Balatro.

Any roguelites he should check out that really scratch that hard data minmaxing part of the brain?
