Hello everyone,
I'm a research assistant at the Research on Emotion, Substance Treatment Outcomes and Racial Equity (RESTORE) lab at University of Houston. We are recruiting participants for a new study. This study involves experimental appointments that addresses cigarette smoking and microaggressions. You may be eligible to participate if you (1) are at least 18 years old, (2) currently endorse regular (daily) cigarette smoking for at least 1 year, (3) currently smoke 5 or more cigarettes a day, (4) self-identify as Hispanic or Latino, and (5) endorse at least one microaggression experience over the past 6-months.
Participation involves attending a total of three in-person appointment visits to our laboratory. Eligible participants for the current study that complete the entirety of the study will have the opportunity to receive up to $200 in electronic gift cards.
This study has been reviewed and approved by the University of Houston's Institutional Review Board.
