Tips on finding a Raketa Kopernik in Eastern Europe

Hello!

I'll be traveling through: Poland, Hungary, Moldova, and Ukraine this summer.

I'm really looking forward to shopping for vintage Soviet watches. I'm specifically enamored by the Raketa Kopernik.

Of course, such watches can be found on eBay (with varying levels of authenticity). Does anyone have recommendations for shops or markets to check out? Or any online vendors who have shops/workshops in these countries that I could visit?

My main priority is getting a watch that works well and is in good visual shape. Also, what's a fair price in this case?

Would appreciate any comments! I'm a grad student applying to 2027 QT intern roles this summer.

I started prepping late in the 2026 application season (December 2025), so most firms I reached out to ghosted me. However, I got 2026 QT intern interviews with JS (up through to super day) with this resume.

So, for that reason, I don't have enough signal to determine whether my resume will be competitive this time around.
