Always be prototyping

Maybe what I'm doing is pointless but after a few crashes and a few motors shitting their ball bearings out, I came up with this. Gotta tweak some tolerances as they are a little tight. The little blue ones I have are not cutting it ( I did not design them) so I took matters into my own hands.

Am I wasting my time? Those of you that design quad parts, especially motor guards, what should I be concerned with? Also are guards actually useful?

Some prime joints

Any tips? Therse are the best I could get with a little practice. New to the soldering game but need to get better so I can get my quad back up and flying. Any tips are appreciated.

I tinned the pads, tinned the wires, melted them to each other at 425°f

I'm new to soldering but would my shit joints be causing this motor to not spin up all the way? Or is it something else?

I honestly didn't think these joints were that bad but idk what else it could be

Joints will be in the comments because I can't figure out how to add a video and picture

Season opens up here soon for us in Maine. Seeing everyone's birds has me fired up. Here's a couple of birds I called in last year, it was my buddy's first and right before his birthday. It was about 100 yards from my back door in the woods and we had just mulled around wondering where to set up. I have a nice flock in my neck of the woods so I knew they would be at least in the area.

Three came in after only calling once or twice in maybe 30 minutes. They came in chests puffed out and all in a side by side line. Not one of them is gobbling the entire time. Once they started going after my little jake decoy, we both waited for a shot. I took mine first, he took his quickly after.

Bow hunting turkeys is my favorite way to hunt

Living quarters under the deck section of a 42' boat. The engineers cut all the parts on our CNC. It's like a giant puzzle with some tweaks here and there. Where I'm entering from will just be a small room, not how you actually get into the cabin.

Edit: this is just a mock up to get the feel for the space

Here is the final design of the coffee table I've been working on. Now I just have to order the wood. Just wanted to say thanks for all the feedback I've gotten
