Well, it's time.
I've finally gotten to the point where I'm able to design my own stuff. I've had my Artillery X2 since 2022. It's been running pretty hard the last few months.
But I'm thinking it's time to upgrade. It works great until it just doesn't. I have it fully stripped down again because the thing just implodes randomly with no real reason. The printer head design is just...eh. Lots of weird design choices there. I love the printer, but I just need more. I want to move towards stuff beyond PLA and TPU, I'm looking at ABS and beyond.
I'm just not sure where to even start. I'm almost 100% sure I want an enclosed printer (for ABS among others) and I've decided I do want color or filament changing options. I'm leaning heavily towards the Bambu P2S but I haven't been in the market for a while so I don't know what players are out there. I think I'm over bed slingers too. Core XY seems to fit what I need better.
I've never needed the full 300*300*300 of the Artillery so I'm not too upset losing printer area. I also want a built in filament dryer too. Tired of stringy TPU. I have a dryer now but I can't print while it's in the dryer because of the Artillery design.
