Timemore C2 - 3 yr review - I'd still recommend this now

I'm retiring my now 3-year old Timemore C2 next week, so dropping a review for anyone still looking to buy this guy in 2026.

The C2 has been a treat so far, and I would actually have continued using it as I got some replacement burrs. However these fit the new model, not my older one, and so I've finally decided to shift to the KinGrinder K6

Everything I love about C2:

  1. It was one of the few grinder options readily available on Amazon in India for a decent budget of 70 dollars back in 2023

  2. Grind factor, yes the microns per click are a little high at 80 per click, but trust me, that's just fine. If you're just just 1-3 years into brewing, still extremely sufficient. It's easy to dial in for new roasts I pick up and delivers very good clarity. I've brewed at a few homebrew events with this, and it's delivered.

  3. Versaility, while it's absolutely useless for espresso, I've brewed moka pot to some success with this, it can go very fine. Although be ready for an arm workout.

  4. Sturdy: I must have at least dropped it 20 times, and it's travelled a lot, not a single scratch on it.

Con:

Age hits it. At the 2 year mark (for about 8 months it was getting used twice per day) it started slowing down. I never timed it, but I'd say at least 1.2x slower. At the 3 year mark, it's 1.5-1.6x slower. The last of the barrel takes super long to grind and it's quite squeaky.

Although, if you're in a place where you can get replacement burrs, you're sorted. I had to get mine from the US, and as I mentioned, they didn't work out with my model. The adjustment nut on the old C2 model doesn't align with the outer burr of the new one.

Point being, if you're someone looking for a grinder now in 2026, are seeing the C2 as an option but are hesitant to invest due to its age. Don't. Super good option.

P.s. another pro, disassembly and cleaning is super easy. Get a small device pump.

Ask me any questions you have.
