Screensaver Issue on my Google / TLC TV?
Hello there! I’ve never made a post like this before, so I may miss details. If you need any specifics, just let me know!
As of the recent update for Google TV, my television has been a bit broken. It still functions fine, but if it’s left in screen saver mode for any length of time, it freezes the whole TV. I can click as many buttons as I want, and try to hard reset it with the remote, but it doesn’t budge. It requires me having to unplug the TV itself to get it to unfreeze.
I haven’t changed anything on the TV itself though? No new apps, no new connections, etc etc. The update is the only new thing.
Why would this be? It’s starting to get really annoying having to unplug it every day if I want to watch YouTube on it haha.
for reference: it’s a 45” TCL / Google TV. I’ve had it since 2024. I can provide more info if needed!
