Sudden black screen without prior damage

left the room and came back to a black screen on my laptop. 17z-cp200. I tried all the basic tricks before I turned it off then back on. from there I tried ctrl shift windows and b. I tried holding in the power button for a minute. I removed the back and removed the battery and put it back in. i have plugged it into a monitor so it’s not an issue of the screen connection. when I turn it on and press caps lock I don’t get the light indicator. the lights for the power button and all the side lights work as they should. important note that is interesting is that the fan does not spin either. really don’t know where to go from here. any help is appreciated thank you for your time.
