Changing Engraved Equipment - Questions/Clarifications

  1. Step 1 - Create Engraved Equipment. Requires:
    • 4 pieces of SSR gear (farmed in dungeons/boss battles)
    • 1 Brilliant Engraving Seal (limited resource)
    • 1 Magic-infused Enhanced Metal (25 platinum)
    • Results in random quality (up to 130), random passive level (up to 3) and random bonus stats
  2. Option 1 - Reroll the entire thing. Requires:
    1. A duplicate Engraved Equipment (all materials above in step 1)
    2. Results in no change in quality, but re-rolls random passive level (up to 3) and random bonus stats
    3. Option 2 - Change the Bonus Stats. Requires:
    4. Remnant of the Rift (40 Transcendence Essence plus gatherable mats)
    5. Results in reroll of ALL bonus stats. I thought there was going to be a way to selectively re-roll these one-by-one? Is that not true?
  3. Option 3 - Change Quality (Random). Requires:
    1. Tailors Stitching Needles (60 Transcendence Essence plus 2 sunstone alloy which require 4 platinum)
    2. Results in reroll of quality (up to 130)
  4. Option 4 - Increase Quality (Guaranteed). Requires:
    1. ?? I can't see what it is
  5. Option 5 - Change Passive Level (Random). Requires:
    1. Engraver's Fabric Scissors (100 transcendence essence!! + 5 sunstone alloy which require 10 platinum)
    2. NO choice to keep or apply so there's a 60% chance of getting level 1

Is this accurate?

I've been farming Abyss Guila golem thing for money so I have tons of controlled scenarios to compare. Here's my test:

  1. Dual Sword Meli.
    1. Start with Staff Mannie who has the blazing staff (applies 20% damage debuff)
    2. Swap to Book Daisy and apply buff + two lamp posts
    3. Swap to dual sword Jericho, use move to backhit and burst
    4. Swap to Staff Mannie apply buff
    5. Swap to DS Meli, covert burst to dark, use normal attacks to activate demonic power, use both moves, use special.
    6. Dead
  2. Long Sword Meli.
    1. Exactly the same for steps 1-4
    2. Swap to longsword Meli, convert burst to dark, get haste x2, then repeatedly use special move. When burst is almost out, use special
    3. Boss always has residual hp so I have to repeat the steps again

Am I doing something wrong here?

Once you receive the starting rewards (Path of Hero, Path of Exploration, Book of Stars), there are no ways to earn standard pulls other than the monthly shop exchange (7 total) and - on occasion - some log in rewards (we got 5 today for example).

In practice, everyone should be saving all their premium currency for rate up banners, so the standard banner progress toward pity is extremely slow. If we average ~10 standard summons a month, it works out to a <1 SSR every 2 months.

With all the selectors they've given out, I feel like most people at this point have a pretty decent team of SSRs. So most of the SSRs you'd be summoning would just be additional potential points

A very easy way to achieve this would be to add weekly or monthly missions to the Daily Mission tab. Spend keys, kill bosses, participate in co-op, etc - rewards for spending time in the game

Easy win-win

Currently, each playable character's gear exists in the same state regardless of what Team you are using. So if you have a Fire Escanor Axe build on Team 1 and a Holy Burn Greatsword Escanor build on Team 2, the armor, accessories, etc are identical. If you change one, it changes the other.

In practice, this means you need to re-gear your units if you want to swap between teams. If you're in a co-op lobby and the team does a run of Galland and then want to do a run of Ferzen, it can be very obnoxious to coordinate the swaps with just chat to communicate

Ideal State would be that the gear follows the team. So if you have Team 1 active, your Escanor would have his fire gear on. If you swap to Team 2, your Escanor would automatically have his holy equipment swapped.

This would make it much easier to use different builds for different content, which is where the game seems to be pushing anyway

I would like to understand how to best use Axe Escanor (for Fire weak content) and Greatsword Escanor (for Holy weak content).

Axe Escanor:

  1. Gear:
    1. Consensus best armor is engraved "Northern Wilderness" armor
    2. Consensus best weapon is his signature Axe. What are the best enchantments? Fire damage? Fire attack? Crit rate? Crit damage?
    3. Accessories - is it Arachne set for the crit chance? Something else?
  2. Allies:
    1. Staff Mannie? Book Daisy?
    2. I see a lot of people use Slater, but I hate that character. Is there an alternative?
  3. Fight strategy:
    1. It seems like the meta is shifting to a ohko build in which you:
      1. Buff with Mannie and Daisy
      2. Use a Slater debuff + hit once with a blazing weapon
      3. Swap to Escanor and then use your stance, get your flare, then use your ultimate move
    2. Are there any more traditional burst builds? What do you do if you don't one shot the boss?

Greatsword Escanor:

  1. Gear:
    1. Consensus best armor is engraved "Sufficient Arrogance" armor
    2. Consensus best weapon is the SSR greatsword. What are the best enchantments? DoT related ones only?
    3. Accessories - I know the ring from Guila is desirable. For the rest, is it just stuff that prolongs DoT?
  2. Allies:
    1. Staff Mannie and Book Daisy again?
    2. Who else??
  3. Fight strategy:
    1. It seems like the idea is you just apply burn and then try to speed up the interval while you dodge and wait for the boss to die? When I do this, I am only getting 800 damage hits ticking off, and this seems very slow. What am I missing?

Thank you!
