What do people say about you while your out shooting?

As a documentary Cinematographer, I pay a lot of attention to the people around me -- observations help me figure out how to tell a story later. When I got my FX6 a few years ago I noticed a major difference in the way people behaved around me. Not only did people love to ogle the camera, I basically could do whatever without interference because I was a "professional."

The only reason I know this is because people talk as if I can't hear them. "Oh wow, there's a real professional here" "oh shit I was gonna photobomb them but they're a journalist" etc.

I'm curious how many other videographers/cinematographers have experienced the same thing and if y'all have any funny stories to share.

I have found a number of tools to assist with research but I am curious what others use, especially for studying data.

I am looking for a better way to organize my resources and citations.

Since I work with video, I'm also looking for secure filesharing methods and recommendations on secure workflows. I acquired a Mac PC and got Proton VPN, also switched to the firefox browser and Tor. Any secure storage solution suggestions would also be welcome.

Hopefully this makes sense, I'm very unwell at the moment so I have some intense brain fog.
