Quick question for locators in the field who are actively searching for a new position or past locators who found something better; what is the career projection with utility locating? I worked at the 811 center for several years before transitioning into a full time locating role with ELM marking Southwest gas lines, so I’m not new to the industry by any means. Just trying to figure out what role(s) are best to jump into from here? I’d like to get into GIS/mapping roles. I have zero interest on being a supervisor, but wouldn’t mind being an auditor or damage investigator. Thanks yall
