Yesterday evening, I made a post complimenting the wonderful community you have here. In that post, I mentioned I would maybe post some of my own character lore. I have decided I will do so for the first time by means of introducing myself as I go along.
?txt67 (A.K.A. Aedifex) is the personification of myself as the deity of my own universes and my online presence. He is the avatar I use on all online platforms whenever possible. ?txt67 has and will never feature in any of my stories, but does act as the narrator. As far as strangers on the internet are concerned, I and this character are the same person.
Since this character is quite literally the digital representation of myself, I am going to take the liberty of sharing some things about myself that would likely not be covered when introducing my other characters.
There are multiple assets in the design that tell a little about myself. First of all, the antlers. The story behind this does not run very deep; I think that deer are cool.
As for the tophat, I have the character wear it because I like to think of myself as a gentleman. When I was a teenager, I followed a course on British etiquette, even though I came from the other side of the English Channel. Today, I wear a suit nearly daily, and keep myself up-to-date with etiquette tips from William Hanson's YouTube page.
The eyes remain ever-changing, but in the attached image, I chose a bestagon and a gear. The hexagon comes from the fact that I have often been accused of perfectionism, and I have chosen the gear because I often like to play with mechanical principles and machines. I was formally diagnosed with autism at fifteen years old, and I have assumed that to be the cause ever since.
The right arm is not shattered because I have broken my arm or anything of the sort; I just thought it worked well to convey the aesthetic of liminal spaces or the dreamcore aesthetic, both of which I am a big fan of.
The hand on the left actually has two properties I would care to mention. Firstly, if you look closely, the red colour actually comes from a wallpaper texture from the Victorian era. I am a bit of a history buff and adore the architecture and style of the late-nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries. Secondly, the hand is actually a 3-dimensional model. Recently, I have been trying to learn to use Blender. Luckily, I still have a lot to learn, so I will not get bored anytime soon.
Lastly, and probably the one you were most curious about, if I were to guess, is the title '?txt67' printed on his chest in a font called 'Edwardian Script ITC'. ?txt67 was actually the name of a program I wrote; an artificial intelligence coded with all my norms and values. I was young and sort of incompetent, so I deleted the program before all artificial intelligences turned evil in 2021.
