I need to spend 17 Audible credits quick before they expire! Please help me choose!
I listen to audiobooks apparently very slowly and in about a day and a half I need to spend 17 credits or they’re going to expire (according to Audible).
I’ve read and am caught up on He Who Fights With Monsters and Azarinth Healer, and I am on book two of The Wandering Inn. I technically have a way to read the rest of the Wandering Inn without spending my credits on them, but am wondering if I should just get them myself anyways so I have them for myself, otherwise I need other book series to spend them on. Please help me choose what to spend my credits on!
Here on sort of my preferences:
I primarily like fantasy settings, so magic, taverns, guilds, adventuring, exploring, questing, basically anything traditional fantasy role playing game tropes.
I am not incredibly keen on science fiction in my fantasy worlds, so technology, science, and anything modern era stuff are a turn off for me.
Great world building is a plus.
Good character development is greatly appreciated along with intriguing supporting characters you can genuinely like.
I like a challenging advancement of the character’s progress through the story without it feeling like an utter cake walk for them, so I like the characters to be strong and smart but not completely overpowered that the effort to advance is just a blip to them and there are no real stakes, if that makes any sense to you.
Slice of life moments are good but so is the adventuring and action.
I could again spend these credits on the rest of The Wandering Inn series, but I still have a way to read them if don’t, or on another series. What are your thoughts on what I should spend them on? Thanks in advance!
