Anybody else experiencing burnout? I never post anything but I need to know I’m not the only one here. I homeschool my 2nd grader and my 7th grader. We homeschool because the public schools here suck (and are dangerous) and the private schools are a bit out of range for us (but I might be trying to cut costs to make them work). With our 2nd grader we pushed for homeschooling this year because after 1st grade in our public school, she still couldn’t read and with her suspected adhd, the school could not provide the support she needed. This school year, I’ve gotten her up to her grade reading level and she’s now working on chapter books. Given this, I know homeschooling is better for her educationally but I am so burnt out. I know a large part of this burn out is due to the fact that we have an 8 month old (who is currently sleep regressing and dealing with separation anxiety) and this time of year is crazy with extra curriculars and family events. I’m looking into outsourcing some of next years schooling as much as I can but I don’t know how I’m gonna make it the next month til I can call it a year. Anyone else remotely going through this and can talk me down from giving in completely and re-enrolling in public school.
