I own a small MC server host, and I got bullied by a client in the funniest way possible.
First things first, CookieNet is currently in early beta, so don't go searching just yet!
So, I have an alt account called jobless_noob I use when I'm joining public servers and want to not draw attention. One of my clients launched a public Minecraft server on their CookieNet MC server, so I thought I'd check it out.
I've not included names for privacy reasons and redacted long strings of swearing.
jobless_noob: ***joins game***
jobless_noob: hi
Owner: "I own this server and I can do whatever i like to you"
Owner: "peasant"
jobless_noob: ***starts doing stuff***
Owner: ***kills me for no reason***
Person: ***griefs someone's build***
Owner: ***bans them***
Owner: ***does /fill with lava on my base***
Owner: "hahahahaha"
jobless_noob: "i thought you didnt like griefing"
Owner: "I own this server and can do whatever the <redacted> I want"
jobless_noob: "i dont think you realise who ur dealing with"
Owner: ***bans jobless_noob*** Reason: "<redacted> you <redacted>"
By this point I was dying laughing. I knew exactly what do do to absolutely troll this guy. So I joined from my main account, which I knew they would instantly recognise.
Owner: "Welcome to my server!!!"
Owner: "OMG WE HAVE THE COOKIEHOST OWNER ONLINE"
Owner ***private messages admins to be nice to me*** (i saw on server console)
Owner: "want a tour?"
Me: "i say the following to you just how you said it to me"
Me: "i own cookiehost and can do whatever i like to you"
Me: "peasent"
Owner: "IM SORRY I DIDNT REALISE IT WAS U"
Me ***suspends server and issues refund***
Honestly? Best refund I've ever issued.
