Playing with friends for the first time. We have about 160 hours and we’re in the mistlands now. We have fully upgraded padded armor, black metal picks/axes, and we’re starting to get the newest foods made like salads, meat platters, etc. how long is it really gonna take to get 8 more black cores (we found 2 already), and make the related new items (no spoilers please)?
TLDR in title.
I’ve set up a dedicated server on a VM running Ubuntu Server. It was working just fine once I got it all set up at first. Friends were able to join, it saved progress, everything. Then the next time I started it, the console never moved past the second running of “unloading unused assets.”
I’ve tried redownloading the world. I’ve tried using older versions of the world. I’ve updated everything I could think of. I’ve changed the name of the world (and dependent files). I’ve restarted the system more times than I can count. If I empty out the worlds_local folder, the server creates a new world and starts as expected. I can’t find anyone with a similar issue online. Any help would be appreciated.
Currently at work so I won’t be able to post logs or anything for some time.
Edit: The only other thing I can think to try is attempting to run the world on my gaming pc to see if the world itself got corrupted at some point in the upload/download process.
