**LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE**

* **Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:**

-1000€- ~2000€. Germany-

* **Are you open to refurbs/used?**

-Yes, if the recommendation has a trustworthy marketplace.-

* **How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?**

-Regular Ultrabook, no shiny gimmick features. Good build quality, stylish but not childish looking. Performance enough for the Programms I have to list below. Battery should last a few hours in class.-

* **How important is weight and thinness to you?**

-I don’t mind. Wouldn’t be a problem if it’s a brick as long as it gets the job done.-

* **Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.**

- I’d tend to bigger screens. Maybe around 14“ and above?-

* **Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.**

-Good performance mainly to comfortably run CAD, MATLAB etc. and the usual Office programms. and if I get some freetime, maybe be able to run some competitive games and a bit indie/oldschool stuff.-

* **If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?**

-LoL, CS2, Zenless Zone Zero, Dungeon Siege 1, Hotline Miami and games in their dimensions. So no AAA like cyberpunk. At medium settings with 60FPS.-

* **Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?**

-No, just some advice if a Numpad would be necessary.-

* **Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.**

-I am going to study industrial production/engineering at the end of the year. I need enough power to be able to run CAD/MATLAB comfortably so I don’t get annoyed by working with it. So the cooling should be silent or the noise it makes are not that annoying. Battery should last for a few hours in class even though there aren’t any books that will last throughout the day? As long as I don’t have to charge every 2-3 hours it’s okay. I am not sure, how many power would be enough, so I’d rather have too much than too less. If there a books just a few hundreds above 2000€ which are complete bangers, it’s also cool. Just not 2500€+ and the highest end ranges. I was comparing for a few days but the most reviews I find are only for gaming or only for office. I somehow need a hybrid. Like a gaming one with office strengths. From what I saw, I liked the Alienware m16 r2, the Razer Blade 16 and the Zephyrus G14/G16. But I’m not sure if I’m overkilling with those and make a fool of myself in class.-
