Looking for new career path

Background: I’m a 39 yo male in Columbus Ohio area. I have a business degree from Fordham University, did logistics and transportation jobs for about 7 years. Caught a felony when I was 30, not drug or violence related. I’ve managed to get one job after that in the same industry.

I have been working in construction since, mostly residential carpentry. I make $45 hour but no benefits, just $45 hour. Work and pay is inconsistent but my main concern is my body. I sometimes can’t even get out of bed with all the pain I have in my body. I don’t think I can do this for the rest of my career even if I wanted to.

If I were to use VRE what would I even use it for? I was thinking construction management or something. I was also thinking about working on renewable energy sources like wind or solar, but my concerns there are kind of the same with carpentry. Will my body allow it? Do you folks have any advice or suggestions? Thanks!
