Why are movie watchers so obsessed with the idea of scenes being improvised
I swear the top fact on every movie's IMDB trivia page is "X scene was actually not in the script; it was improvised by Y actor and Z director liked it so much they kept it in!"
I'm convinced it's because no one cares about the writers but we do care about the actors since we see them at work, and so the idea of the actors doing the writers' job is appealing.
