Hello! This is my first time posting and I just wanted to get my feet a little more into the water of the world of whisky and spirits. I have a pretty solid understanding of American whiskeys and used to bartend a a few speakeasy’s, but whisky was never really my drink of choice. I recently have been getting more into aged and brown spirits which coincided perfectly with my trip to Japan. From first experience I gotta say anyone who loves spirits has to go there sometime and try shopping at some of the stores. I was in one that was no larger than 140 sq feet and it had so many options I was stuck there for an 2hours hut admiring the bottles.

Below I’m just going list what I got and ask if anyone has had them and also ask if it looks like I got a decent deal when I went there. I would also love and tips or advice on storage or next steps.

I really have enjoyed reading through this subreddit and hope this isn’t going against any guidelines. I’m not trying to get a valuation on these, more just get peace of mind that I got a decent haul for the price. Please let me know if this goes again guidelines and I will change it. All the liquors are either being traded amongst friends already or will be drank and shared to the very last drop. All prices are roughly estimate from yen to usd so I will just put a price and not say about each time and they are within like $2 for each bottle

Japan haul:
Nikka pure malt black (50 cl I believe) $50

Nikka pure malt red (50 cl I believe) $50

Nikka session (700ml) $25

Suntory old world whiskey year of the sheep zodiac edition (700 ml) $40

Amahagan final fantasy edition Ul’dah (700ml) $45

Amahagan edition no. 3 (50ml)$6

Amahagan yamazakurw wood finish (50ml) $6

Suntory reserve (bear shaped 50 ml bottle) $11

Whisky koh kun (I think like an everyday or cocktail whiskey, 700 ml) $6

And the rest was not whiskey

Any tips from pros or future advice is welcome. Thank you in advance. All were bought from the bottle off store in Osaka and I can’t say how much I loved that place. Super one staff and a really cool old bottle sections that just enamored me.
