TLDR: I get these sudden positional thunderclap headaches after working out that are identical to orgasm headaches, but clearly I’m not experiencing an orgasm. My neurologist said it’s fine. Should I get a second opinion?

Hi, I have pots and an array of other chronic illnesses. Ever since I was diagnosed with pots last year, I’ve started experiencing orgasm headaches while working out. Pots is a type of disorder Neue and it affects a lot of things to do with the blood like blood pressure, pooling, etc..

I use a Pilates reformer which is the laying down Pilates machine. Once I get my heart rate up to a certain point if I sit up, I experienced that sudden thunderclap headache associated with a positional change. It takes a long time for it to go away before I’m able to sit up again and then I have a lingering headache for the next few hours.

My neurologist said it’s called an orgasm headache and didn’t seem to care at all that I do not experience these with orgasms and when I experiencing them, I’m doing another activity. Dr. Google told me it’s a vein dilation issue. I have no idea if there’s anything that can be done about this, but I feel pretty blown off. Should I get a second opinion? Do I go to another neurologist or should I try to find some Doctor who specializes in veins? Anyone else have this?
