New job…

So I just started at a new spa this week, it’s more of a healing spa & the owner uses a Korean skincare brand, Ella B (never heard of it), she also uses PCA Skin but she’s not going to order anymore after what is left is done because she wants to only use this Ella B brand, mind you, it’s only 3 products.. a soothing gel & like 2 creams. No kind of exfoliation (only dermaplane), masks, toners, SPF. It’s like she doesn’t believe in using any of that stuff and that only a soothing gel and some cream is enough for a facial and “healing”. Idk I’m just extremely tripped out by this spa lol.

Besides that, she made me get a facial earlier today because she said my skin “looks really bad…” and “no one will want to book with you if they see your skin looking bad like that…”. I struggle with anxiety and depression and have been very stressed out the past month or so and my skin has been breaking out, mostly on my left side. I’m still in disbelief that she said that to me, especially to a NEW employee. Just because I’m an esthetician that doesn’t mean I’m not going to have skin problems??? I take good care of my skin as much as I can.

Should I stay? :/

If so, what position and how did you get the job?

I’ve seen some estheticians say they’ve worked for skincare companies before and I think it would be cool to. I’ve been looking on LinkedIn but definitely not qualified for any of the open positions some have open. 😅
