Looking to pick up my first combo and wanted some advice on what to get. Ive fished my whole life with spinning gear but want to see what all the hype is about with baitcasters. Ive given myself a $200 budget for a combo to stay away from the real cheap junk and something i would be happy with. Currently looking at the Lews TP2 combo ($200) and the Shimano Caius combo ($150). I would like to buy in person to get a feel for them and these are both available at my local bass pro. These both seem decent from the reviews but as mentioned i know nothing about baitcast reels or rods. Wondering if anyone has any real world experience with these or if theres another budget-ish (sub $200) combo that would be better. Thanks for the help!
