2012 Kia Forte Koup daily driver and no major issues. I went to go to work middle of this week (I drove it the night before) and it wouldn’t start. The lights come on the dash inside the car there’s an aftermarket radio that shows the battery voltage at 11.4 I feel like that’s the normal number that’s there.
Yesterday I dropped the starter and plugged that wire into the starter it seems to be the right length and where it should go. When I went to start the car I lost all power almost like it shorted something out. I disconnected the negative terminal and reconnected and got the same result where it seemed like a short. I pulled the wire back off and now have lights again. When I go to turn the car over you can hear the ignition click but not like it’s trying to turn over.
