Did Residential Concrete Construction Ever Take Off???
When I was in college early 2000’s, new home construction was about to break out with a concrete method that involved pouring walls into foam block forms, which could be slotted for piping and electrical wiring, then sheet rocked over. It was being presented as a revolutionary construction method that would quickly pay for its ~25% cost premium through better utility rates, significant longevity, and things like tornado resistance. Didn’t ever go anywhere ? Or was the startup cost just to much?
