I only got a regular scan so far at a general dentist. I can’t read these very well but on the right side I have an impacted canine (not visible, it’s like inside the gum). When I got braces at 16 I refused to get the tooth under it extracted, hoping I could create space and bring canine down without extractions. I’m 28 now and I’m very tearful that a procedure like SARPE/MARPE is perhaps too late or I can’t get the symmetry I want. I understand my bottom wisdom teeth need to be gonezo, as well as the top ones, but I was told I still won’t be able to have some expansion done to bring the canine down, as well as expanding the crowding issue. This dentist told me to forget about it and just get the wisdom teeth removed, and a different one suggested removing 8 teeth to achieve the symmetry I wanted (💀). I feel at a loss. Anyone have any evidence based advice for me before I go to an appropriate clinic?
