Tips for managing devas/patrons
Hi! I'm going to be running my first homebrew campaign at the start of next month, and I'm pretty much ready to rock and roll. Its not my first campaign, I've also run Descent into Avernus and Strixhaven to completion with this same group
I'm confident and excited about the campaign, which is an Alice in Wonderland/Yellowjackets/Castaway hybrid where the party find themselves stranded as the only survivors of a shipwreck that lands them on an archipelago in an artificial demiplane where everything is just....weird. The fish swim upside down, the sun sets in the east, the squirrels have an organised coalition, etc.
My main stickler right now is that my party includes two warlocks and an aasimar with an active deva. Super exciting! But I'm notorious for forgetting about "voices in your head" -- My DIA party collected the shield of the hidden lord and then it was just a normal shield because I forgot about the pit fiend for the whole campaign
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on managing multiple "voices" in the characters heads? When it is/isnt appropriate to have them be active, when it is too much/too little interaction. I dont want to overdo it, but I dont want them to be irrelevant either. Thanks in advance!
