Checked the dipstick and couldn’t even get a drop of oil on it… wtf.
VE Calais LFX.
Topped it up straight away obviously. It’s only been about a month since I last checked it.
Also, shouldn’t the dashboard warn me about low oil pressure?
Second issue — I get occasional rough starts: spluttering, sounds fuel-starved, then a bit of timing slap.
I’m wondering if the high-pressure fuel pump could be leaking into the rocker cover?
Main question: could that actually cause oil to disappear this fast? If fuel is getting into the oil, would it dilute and “lose” that quickly? I checked for fuel smell in the oil about a month ago and didn’t notice anything.
There are no visible oil leaks on the engine or driveway.
