Car rental needed for Slovenia?

I’ll be on Slovenia in mid September. Was planning on staying in or around Ljubljana and taking buses around the country. This looks like it will work for going to Lake Bled and Piran. However for the Soca and Logan valleys along with Triglav National Park I’m not so sure about. Anyone have experience?

Hello travelers.
This September I am headed on my first trip to Europe. While it sound like many of the countries I am visiting (Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia) English is pretty common It also sounds like the locals appreciate at least some effort made to learning the language.
So that being said what are going to be the best programs for trying to pick up enough to get by for multiple languages? I’ve looked at some of what’s out there but want to hear from actual people and their experience and recommendations. Not some advertisement.
Shorter lessons and I work in my day would work best but open to options. Thanks in advance!

Have 4 days on Northern Italy before heading to the Jungfrau region of Switzerland. I land Late on a Thursday morning in Milan. Then taking a train to Verona where I am staying 2 nights. From there I am thinking a day in Venice and a day at Lake Como before heading for Switzerland. Thoughts?
