Gaming Headset Recommendation with good Sidetone?
Hey everyone,
I’m currently looking for a really good gaming headset and was hoping to get some recommendations.
The most important thing for me is strong, clear, and loud sidetone (mic monitoring). I absolutely need to hear myself properly while talking.
I previously had the Corsair HS80 USB and honestly, it was perfect for me — especially the sidetone and mic quality. The only issue is that I had to return it twice because the cable kept breaking, so I’m trying to find something similar but more durable.
I’ve looked into a few options already:
- Astro A50 – seems good, but I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions, so I’m unsure
- Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed 2 – just tried it, but the sidetone was basically non-existent, so I returned it
So yeah, I’m basically searching for:
- Strong, adjustable sidetone (preferably loud and clear)
- Very good microphone quality (similar to HS80 or better)
- Good overall sound for gaming
- Preferably wireless, but not a must
(It doesn’t have to be wireless, wired is also just fine)
Does anyone have recommendations or similar experiences? Especially if you also care a lot about sidetone.
