Ftm. I'm 10+3 and started a new job 2 weeks ago. I went in on my first day and the following day on my drive to work I fell completely ill and vomited. I got there a little early so I tried to gather myself but I felt so awful so I decided to go into work and chat with my manager to let her know that I was pregnant and if I could go home for the day and see my doctor for something that can help with my symptoms. She was super understanding and was very kind about it. Reassuring me that this is life and at the company they support people in all aspects of their life.
Fast forward to this week, I have been so sick every single day that I haven't been back to work. I've only worked one whole day! I update her regularly and noticed her replies have been getting shorter, less kind. I was meant to return today but had to go to emergency because my symptoms have gotten worse.
I'm worried that they'll fire me over this, is there any law that can protect me? Does anyone have any advice or have experienced something similar? I feel so guilty
