Hives on arms at night
I (21f) have never been someone with allergies other than a slight rash when I touch some types of grass, but over the past week I’ve been getting (what I think are) hives only at night and only on my arms. My boyfriend used to get hives and they look very similar to what he would get. They are little patches of slightly raised pale bumps that are sometimes round and sometimes blob-shaped that appear sparsely on random parts of my arms and are itchy. I turned 21 in April, and I’ve been drinking most weekends since, but I typically will drink one beer or one to three shots unless I’m out partying, and to be honest I drank before I was 21 and never had any sort of issues like this so I don’t know if they are even related. They are really difficult to photograph because I am already very pale and they are pretty small. Most of my dads side of the family including all my half siblings at least in their youth had an allergy to various fruits, and my dad has for his whole life and a rare severe allergy to the sulphas in the juices of onions and some wines and factory farmed grapes, but I haven’t had any of those recently. I’ve had a couple 16-20oz bottles in the past couple weeks of gas station drinks like Smirnoff ice which I assume is made with some fortified wine so it could be that if I’m developing a milder allergy then his later in life, but I just don’t know, I’ve never experienced this before. I feel normal for the most part, other than a really bad cough I am assuming more so if from a mix of vaping and from cleaning with chemical spray at work, but I could always be missing something important. Does anyone have a similar experience or have any ideas for what could be a possible cause for this or at least something I could look into?
