Does posting a new TikTok hurt a video that is currently going viral?
Hey everyone,
I have a question about TikTok posting behavior.
I currently have a video that is getting a lot of views, likes, and engagement. It still seems to be pushed by the algorithm and is performing really well.
After around 24 hours, I posted a new video. Since then, I feel like the first video is not getting as many views and engagement anymore.
So my question is:
Does posting a new video while another video is still performing well hurt the older video?
Does TikTok split the attention between both videos, or does it make no difference at all?
The new video is not exactly the same topic, but it is still in the same niche. I make travel content, and both videos are about the same country.
I am wondering if I am just imagining this, or if posting too soon can actually affect the performance of a video that is still getting traction.
