These are items I have bought and/or sold and so I've seen a lot of FB marketplace adds for them and seen some frustratingly common pieces of crucial information missing.
I'm guessing the folks selling items with poor inadequate descriptions don't participate in the activities themselves and so are just unaware of what people want to know.
SKIS - If you are selling skis you need to include the dimensions in your description, or a clear photo of the info (they are usually stated on the ski). Most important is length and width at center, but also at tip and tail. And take a photo, or share the brand and model. And take a photo of the bottom. The bottom is the functional part. And a photo of the edges so we can see the condition. If they are a wider XC ski buyers want to see if they are metal edged or waxless.
Fishing rods - Like skis, important info, like the length and power (L, ML, MH, H) plus action (slow, fast ect) is right on the rod. Either take a clear photo of that or state it in your description. And what again brand is it?
Fishing rod/reel combos - again, the brand and model should be in your description. There are $20 rod/reels and $200. A blurry photo from a distance very rarely lets folks know anything except that you do in fact have a fishing rod for sale.
