“So I was going through some of my old stuff and found a bunch of old picture books from when I was a kid. Then I remembered this one in particular but I can’t find it and can’t recall the name. It was something like Puppy’s Big Book of Adventures or Puppy and Friend’s Big Book. I’m pretty sure it was a compilation of a bunch of these stories because I think this was a series and not a one off book and it was huge and heavy and the edges of the pages were gold. It centered around a simplistic looking yellow dog named Puppy and his animal friends. It taught things like good morals.
There was a story where Puppy forgot his lunch at school so each of his friends shared one piece of their lunch so he could eat too. There was another where they all volunteered to rake the lawn for this old lady in the neighborhood. I can’t quite remember what animals his friend’s were but there were no humans. They also had things like bikes or crutches and a cast when Puppy broke his leg. It’s just really bothering me now because I can just barely remember the stories but I can’t think of what the book was. Also I had a CD disk game for this same series, though I’ve never seen any other books. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? The curiosity is killing me”
Key details I recall: The book was likely a lavender hardcover with rainbow polkadots. There was a white window in the center of the cover and I think it featured an illustration of the characters, with a circular arch peeking out of the middle-top area of the window. I believe the book binding was a yellowish-orange color. I could be conflating the book cover with another book I read but I think this info is accurate in regard to what I’m looking for. I’m 100% certain it was an extremely heavy and thick, square shaped book with gold edge pages. It is the thickest, heaviest children’s book I’ve ever seen. I also recall that in edition to the puppy character there was a kitty, who was either polkadot or wore polkadot clothes. All of the animals wore clothes such as t-shirts. Apart from the puppy’s fur color, which I am not sure if he was yellow, the other posters information is all accurate, I’m sure. I am dying to find this book! The last time I had it in my possession was at my exes house and unfortunately, I think I may have left it there. We ended on really bad terms so there is no way of me finding my original copy.
