As a student, my life has always revolved around textbooks, lectures, and exams. Like most people my age, I was focused on building my own career and future. However, recently, a thought kept coming back to me: Is education just about getting a degree, or is it about using what we learn to help others?
We live in a world where we often take things for granted—our internet, our books, and even the simple fact that we can attend college. But the reality is very different for millions of children. Many have the same potential and the same big dreams as us, but they lack the basic resources to achieve them. This realization was a turning point for me. I decided that I didn't want to just be a spectator; I wanted to be a part of the solution.That is how my journey with Unessa Foundation began. Being part of this organization has opened my eyes to the power of community service. Unessa Foundation isn't just about charity; it's about empowerment. Their focus on providing quality education to underprivileged children and supporting sustainable community development is truly inspiring.
In the picture I shared, you can see a glimpse of what this work looks like. Sitting with these bright, energetic children and seeing the curiosity in their eyes is a feeling I cannot describe in words. It makes me realize that sometimes, a few hours of our time can change a child's entire day, or perhaps, their entire outlook on life. When we teach a child, we aren't just sharing knowledge; we are giving them the confidence to dream.I used to think that to make a 'big' change, you needed a lot of money or a huge platform. But I was wrong. Change starts with one person, one small act of kindness, and one shared story. Whether it’s volunteering, donating, or simply spreading awareness about a cause, every single action counts.
My internship at Unessa Foundation in Blogging and Journalism has given me a voice to talk about these issues. Through my writing, I want to bridge the gap between those who want to help and those who need it.
