I have a 91 M54B25 (stock except e36 m52 headers) swapped sedan, small case 3.45 welded diff, small getrag transmission with a single mass flywheel, rear has quite a lot of camber. No front sway bar, stock suspension except coilovers (i do not know the spring rates but its quite stiff). I have tried using 2-3bar on 205/40R17, 225/45R17, 215/45R17 and 205/55R16 tires (all 10+ years old tires and felt no difference between them, tests were short though).
The car struggles to break traction even when its raining, in dry weather i manage to drift it consistently at one corner - 90 degree turn, 40kmh ish entry, slight decline, breaks traction perfectly but it gets up to 80 or so kmh very quickly so i have barely any time to enjoy the moment.
I have still yet to do a succsessful clutch kick with the car, it just will not break traction, just dies down (usually clutch kick at 3k rpm), no it does not have a CDV.
Car also does not have ASC/DSC and ABS.
Current setup: 225/45R17 fronts, 215/45R17 rears.
Car has plenty of power when accelerating.
Could also be driver error since this is the first car i built to drift (i have never had an issue with controlling a car sideways or anything related to driving like this)
Any help would be appriciated!
