My email and password were recently changed on a different account of mine and 2FA got added without my consent. I did get an email to the original account saying these changes were implemented, but I had to go looking because my email app doesn't always tell me about important emails 🙃 I was able to get in using my phone number. I've been added as a mod to a sub I've never heard of (nor would be interested in anyway). I cannot get a password reset link, as the email associated with the account is no longer mine and it doesn't send the link via text. I've reached out to support twice over the last few days, although the second time was just today, so I know I need to give it time, I'm just wondering what I can do in the meantime. I did change the password of the email address that used to be attached to that Reddit account.
It's bizarre, because I don't even know what gain someone would be seeking from this. Nothing has been posted that wasn't written by me, and nothing written by me has been deleted.
I'm posting this using this other account as a precaution, because I'm worried the other person would see any possible notifications from this post coming in and they could catch wind of what I'm doing. I don't want to publicly say which account this other account is, as I don't want to affiliate the two due to privacy.
