Hi! This is my first post. (HTX)
My 6 y/o just fell super ill this weekend. Well, actually, yesterday. My daughter had a sleepover with my parents since it had been a while since they had seen each other. Everything went well Saturday - they had took her to the splash pad and she had tons of fun. It all went downhill yesterday afternoon. My mom had mentioned that she looked fatigued and tired but appetite seems to be normal. (I want to add that she has been dealing with congestion and cough due to seasonal allergies for quite some time) My stepdad had mentioned that my daughter had told him that her stomach hurt but it was only for a brief moment.
My mom had called me before I was actually going to make my way over to pick her up and explained that little one is not doing well. They came to drop her off. She did have fever of 100-101. I decided to give her Motrin to reduce her fever. Not even a minute later, she projectile vomits on the couch and on the floor. No warning. It all happened way too quick. It doesn’t help that she’s also speech delayed and has a hard time knowing her body cues. Whatever. I got her cleaned up, bathed, bleached and sanitized the areas. This happened around 5pm yesterday.
It’s currently 2:30pm. No vomiting since then. Just mild fever, congestion still and now, diarrhea. I don’t know why I’m writing this post to begin with. I’m not ranting nor am I writing a success story. I do have those thoughts in the back of my head that I’m next because I am immune compromised as well as my mom (she also has Emetophobia). But it’s not the over consuming my brain as it typically does. Maybe I’m becoming desensitized?
Anyways, thank you for reading I guess my venting post. It’s been a really rough month
(I’m currently okay at the moment - just my regular Endo symptoms along with a mild migraine due to stress)
