20M 3rd year B.Com student at a tier 1 college about to do 4th year and need advice

I have a decent profile 8/8/6, I am from SXC Kolkata so 6 is just decent enough but I want to make a career in brand management and therefore will be appearing for CAT this year along with pursing my 4th year so that I can improve my gpa (people are saying 4th year has extra weightage.. so if I score like 8 in sem 7 and 8 I can pull overall to 7 pointer, which will be helpful for MBA purposes).

My college will easily help me get a 4-5 lpa job, and if I get lucky enough maybe even 6 lpa.. I know it doesn't sound great.. but I messed up the 1st 2 years badly so it's the best I will get...

I have taken electives like data analytics and consumer behavior because marketing has become extremely data driven nowadays, I want to know 3 things:

  1. If I want to get in a good MBA college ofc I will need good CAT score and 7 gpa would help, but how much impact would this 4th year cause in perception of companies coming to hire in bcom and mba..

  2. Is it wise to take up a job in this market? I think there will be a major rise in senior and mid-senior roles across companies as automation has been growing exponentially and most of the entry level work in marketing as well has become automated?

  3. Since I have a tier 1 brand name, is it wise to take a tier 2 MBA college or should I give a few tries for tier 1 while working?
